Live with Lisa - Week 61-Plymouth Cards

Hey! How are you today? I am Lisa here at Plymouth Cards, in case you haven't met me before. I have some great things to show you today, some new things. I love how we keep adding more and more to our product line for all of you based on some fun things I found and based on customer requests, which has been really great. So I don't know, I'm just trying to think. We had a great weekend, I hope you did too. So I'm really excited! I wasn't sure that this new product was going to be here in time. But UPS didn't fail me and it showed up. So I'm so excited.

So without further delay, I'm going to show you. But first, I want you to say hi. Let me know where you're watching from. I'd love to know, I'm here in Plant City, Florida, which is a little bit east of Tampa. We just moved to this new spot last month.

Oh, hey Mel. Hi Mel! How are you today? I hope you're doing well. You're in Columbus. That's cool. That's awesome. How's the weather there? Is it hot? Cold? Smoky? I've heard it's been smoky in certain parts of the country; we haven't had any of that.

I know, a month or so ago, I showed you -- Hot in 90. Wow. Looks like we're having the same weather. We had a crazy storm a couple hours ago and I was so scared we were going to lose power. So I'm glad that that is over with but hopefully you have AC in, you can stay cool. Alright. Thank you for chatting with me, Mel. That makes me so happy. I really appreciate it.

So I know before I showed you our notebook journals that we introduced, but now we have notepads. Oh my gosh! I can't even tell you how adorable I think these are. They're $5.99. Shockingly, I've already put them live on the website. I know, I learned from last week when I forgot to do that. So now they are live. But the cool thing about our notepads is, I don't know about you, but traditional notepads, it's the same picture on every single page. So I've designed them. The cover page matches our cover of the notebook journal and this is in full color, which I thought was kind of different to do. Oh, I'm going to ruin this one. I guess I have one for myself now. Oops. But every single page is different. I shouldn't say that. We have eight snowmen, so it rotates on the pages between the eight snowmen. And then we put really subtle snowflakes so that when you write you won't not be able to see what you've written. But I thought that would be really cute. So the cover page, you can write on this if you want to or you can frame it or put it in someone's lunchbox and they can have a little fun note. It says a snowman is love and laughter all rolled up into one. So I think that would be a really cute-- Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. You have no idea how cute I think these are. When my kids are younger we used to put notes in their lunchboxes every day. I don't know if they enjoyed it as much as Vinny and I enjoyed putting them in them. Vinny was much more creative. He would always put silly dad jokes and such. But I think that would be really cute for their lunchbox just the cover. If you don't want to write on the cover, that's what I'm saying, you could write on the back. But all the pages just flow through. So they're 50 pages, it rotates through all eight snowmen over and over. And what else was I going to tell you about them? It's made with 100% recycled paper and the chipboard on the back is also 100% recycled. So this is amazing, I love it. And it just has the glue right there to keep it all together so that it won't fall apart before you use it.

So I wanted to show, here's all our snowmen. And I don't know if -- obviously Clarence he changes every year. He's our little mascot I guess for lack of a better word. But I don't know if you knew that we also have George and Mary from last year. So you'll see George and Mary on here and then we also our new ones from this year. They're slightly smaller, so I don't want you to... And it's Benny and Louise. George and Mary like Clarence are from It's a Wonderful Life movie. And Benny and Louise were Vinny's parents' names, and his dad is the one that instilled the love of It's a Wonderful Life to all of us. So we thought that was the appropriate names for them for this year. So we just wanted to show you that.

And I bet you're not going to be surprised when I show you that our positive tree which has 12 positive uplifting words in the branches and also throughout the pages, well you guessed it, we made a notepad to match it. So the tree is just on the front. And then in the corners rotating through all 12 words, it goes top-bottom, top-bottom, meaning, it's up here and then on the next page it's in the bottom, down there. So it rotates through the words. So that's what I think is really cool about these notepads, I designed them so that it's just not the same on every single page. I get bored if it's the same on every single page. So that's kind of cool to have something different. And again, this would be great for a love note and for the kids for their lunchboxes and stuff. So that matches.

And then this coordinates with, from last week how I showed you all the word ornaments that we've added. I'm loving my new cart that I have; I don't know if you can see how much I like this. Because I know you guys like die to watch this video every week, I know. But our key chains in all our different words. We have four words now: Blessed, Believe Hope and Peace. And we have ornaments to go with all of that. So that would be really a cute gift to give someone because you could do the notepad or the notebook journal.

The great thing about the notebook journals, I'll just briefly touch on them is that they're lefty approved. Benny, our daughter is a lefty and having the spiral at the top is much easier for someone that is left-handed to right. So there's that.

Then I wanted to show you. We have one that it's about the future and it just has positive quotes in it. The journal with Eleanor Roosevelt it says the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Now this one is different, where every single page is blank. We just put it on the cover but we did something different with the notepad. And my son Jared helped me with this. And what we did with this notepad is there's 10 different Eleanor Roosevelt positive, uplifting quotes and they rotate. So every 10 pages it'll repeat, but there's that too. And then the great thing about this one is this whole set coordinates with our rustic hearts card. I don't know if anyone knew that, but it does. So that's the card with a picture in it.

This is the kids at the aquarium. I just like it because it's the back of them. And they're actually just talking about what they're seeing and enjoying each other. So that's when they were younger, much younger. Now they're all in their 20s.

So that's the notepads but let me know what else you think about them. If there's anything else you'd like. If I didn't answer a question about them, please ask. I'm really happy to answer your questions. We'll put those all over there. And then what else did I have?

Oh, I've been waiting for a while, we had a card order in and we had such a great response to the -- Hey Donna! Thank you. Hi. Oh, who was I saying thank you to? Okay, there we go. I know technology, I'm doing okay. So thank you for watching Donna, I appreciate you being here. So we have this card, it's the snow white card with the ruled border. Our customer John requested this and I thought it was a great idea, so we did it. So now we had such a great response to it, I thought I would add ivory to the mix. So we just got the ivory in. I just wanted to show you this. It's not that big of a difference, the ivory is a little bit creamier. So you can see that compared to the white.

So this is a picture that we took. If you follow us, you know we went on our family vacation last month, and we were on the beach in Marshfield, Massachusetts. And so that was a picture that I took when we were sitting on our deck. It was so beautiful. It was a big splurge vacation. But the kids went, it was really fun being on the beach. That was a dream of mine to be on the beach. So I just wanted to show you, we do have it in Ivory now and it is on the website. I will post links to everything after I'm done talking. Let me know what you think about that. Are there any other colors you think would have a good design? I really think it's just a nice difference than the usual.

Oh, in case you don't know what I'm talking about, see how it's usually just the debossed border. So that's what our cards all have. So that's how this differs. I can show you, I'll hold it up. Hopefully that's good enough. Yeah, I think you can see that. Just so you can see the difference. So the black line is printed on it, there is no embossing on that. So there's that.

So those are the new ivory cards. And yeah, let me try and think what else? Let me know what you think of those. What else was I going to say? Oh my gosh, I lost my train of thought. Oh, I know what it was.

So earlier today I posted -- Today is what? July 28. Earlier today on Facebook, I posted some designs that we're considering for this upcoming holiday season. There's six of them. And if you have a moment to pop in and look for that, and just let me know which ones you'd like. You can pick as many as you want or as few as you'd like. You know there's no rules to this. It's just, I'd love to get your feedback. So there's one with Christmas lights, there's cat toys.

Oh, I wonder if I could -- I think I can do this. I think I can share my screen and show you what I'm talking about so that you can see. Here we go. I'm going to get there. Let's do this. We're going to make this happen! I am going to show you, I'm going to share my screen so that you can see what I am going to show you. I think this will be -- Nope, I guess I'm not going to be able to do this today. I don't understand why my computer isn't -- I don't know, I'm hitting the button and it's not saying share screen.

So anyway, so what you can do is go to the Plymouth Cards Facebook page, and you can do it any time; we're going to make a decision in the next few days after we hear everyone's feedback. And if you're uncomfortable posting on Facebook, because some people don't want to do that, that's fine. You can send me a private message, you can pop me an email, orders@plymouthcards.com. If you want to chat, you can always give me a call. The number is 877-830-3405. And yeah, I love talking to customers, it's fun. I love putting a voice with a name, which is kind of cool.

So that's what I've got for this week. We're working on the August collection. The July collection is good through the end of the month. And that's under the photo insert notecards section of the website under Samplers and Collections and it should be the first one. But the August one is going to be coming out next week. So watch your email for that. I hope you have a great rest of your week. I took Sunday off which was really exciting. Yes, I work everyday. Well, I shouldn't say I took it off-off, I just worked from home last Sunday; so I'm hoping to do the same this Sunday too. Just to catch up on some computer things that I don't need to be at the shop to do. So that's my plan, my excitement for the weekend. But yeah, I hope you have a great, great rest of your week and I so appreciate you watching and hanging out with me and giving me all your feedback. It's really, really great. And I think that's it. So I will talk to you soon.
